Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizens Advisory Task Force (1 Position) At-Large – The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Citizen Advisory Task Force increases public awareness of the function of the community Development Block Grant Program and the types of assistance available to low- and moderate-income residents. In this role, the Task Force reviews and provides input on the Action Plan, Consolidated Plan, citizen Participation Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing. The Task Force also provides input on the implementation of community projects. Fifty-one percent of Task force members must meet the low- and moderate-income definition (households at or below 80 percent area median income). The committee meets twice a year at the Osceola County Human Services office in the Beaumont Complex, 330 N. Beaumont Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34741

Library Advisory Board (2 Positions)—District 3, At-Large—The Osceola County Library Advisory Board is a citizen’s advisory board organized primarily for the purpose of aiding the Board of County Commissioners to advise them regarding various aspects of the Osceola County Library system. Requirements for Membership: The Osceola County Library Advisory Board consists of seven members. Each County Commissioner may nominate one member from his/her respective district for membership to the Advisory Board.  The Board of County Commissioners shall also appoint two (2) at-large members.  When practicable, one (1) of the members shall be a member of the Friends of the Library group and one (1) of the members shall be a member of the Osceola County Bar Association. An affirmative vote of a majority of the quorum of the Board of County Commissioners shall be required before a nominee is appointed. Meetings Time and Location: The Library Advisory Board meets quarterly, usually on the first Tuesday evening in the months of March, June, September, and December. Meetings rotate between the five full-service library branches, with the meeting locations announced on the County website.
