Library Advisory Board

Purpose

A Library Advisory Board organized primarily for the purpose of citizens providing assistance to the Board of County Commissioners to advise them regarding various aspects of the Osceola County Library system.

Appointments and Qualifications

The Board shall consist of seven (7) members. Each County Commissioner may nominate one (1) member from their respective district for membership to the Advisory Board. The County Commission shall also appoint two (2) at-large members. When practicable, one (1) of the members shall be a member of the Friends of the Library group and one (1) of the members shall be a member of the Osceola County Bar Association.

Meeting Frequency, Time and Location

Meetings are held quarterly, usually on the first Tuesday evening in the months of March, June, September and December. Meetings rotate between the five full-service library branches.

Citizens are welcome to apply at any time, however applications are only considered when there is a vacancy.
