Procedures for Compliance

Upon establishing a violation the Code Enforcement Officer will make contact with violator.

Issue a Notice of Violation with no more than 30 day’s to correct the violation.

If the violation is not corrected within the time established for compliance the Code Enforcement Officer will request a Code Enforcement Board Hearing.

The Code Enforcement Board will establish the vitality of the violation, if the person(s) is/are found in violation the Board will establish a time frame for compliance and impose a fine amount for non-compliance.

Civil Citations

A Code Enforcement Officer is authorized to issue a citation to a person when, based upon personal investigation, the officer has reasonable cause to believe that the person has committed a civil infraction in violation of a duly enacted code or ordinance and that the county court will hear the charge.
