Administrative Support Division

An accreditation program has long been recognized as a means of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Accreditation is the certification by an independent reviewing authority certifying that an entity has met specific requirements and prescribed standards.

Osceola County Corrections is accredited by the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC), and the medical division is accredited through the National Commission on Health Care, (NCCHC). The Corrections Department achieved FCAC accreditation on February 4, 2003, reaccredited on February 07, 2006 and again February 2009. The medical division was accredited by NCCHC standards for health care services in October 2003 and reaccredited in September 2006. During 2010/2011, the department will be working toward national certification through the American Correctional Association. The Accreditation Division also monitors the facility’s compliance with Florida Model Jail Standards and coordinates the annual inspection each July.
