Public Safety Security Division (PSSD) provides security support at the downtown county complex 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Services are also provided at the Osceola County Government Center, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Health Department, Poinciana Tax Collectors Office, Osceola County Libraries and the front desk of Osceola County Jail on weekdays, except holidays, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Personnel respond to incidents, escorts, requests for assistance, and alarms; provide security at various meetings; Board of County Commissioners, Board of Adjustment, Code Enforcement Board, Facilities Management Meetings, Planning Commission. PSSD personnel perform other related security duties, especially during contingencies. Personnel provide protection for visitors, employees, and property; respond to requests for assistance; handle lost-and-found items; and enforce parking regulations on county property.
For the increased safety of those visiting the Osceola County Courthouse at 2 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, Florida, security screenings will be conducted on everyone gaining access to the facility.
