The Osceola County Corrections Department houses pre- and post-sentenced adult inmates as well as pre- and post-sentenced juvenile inmates being tried as adults. Custody classifications range from minimum to maximum-security and high risk.
The Security Division, compromised of four shifts and are designated as Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. Each shift is staffed with one Lieutenant, one Sergeant and three Corporals who are assigned supervisory duties within the jail. On each shift there is a total of 24 certified officers and 3 civilian staff responsible for the care, custody and control of the inmates incarcerated at the Osceola County Corrections Department, including the secure housing of the inmates, movement of inmates throughout the facility and the observation of inmate activities.
In addition, Osceola County Corrections Department operates the Osceola County Work Release Program. The Work Release Program provides supervised dormitory-type housing for up to 72 inmates who maintain employment in the community.
