Inmate Mail

Only United States Postal Service mail will be accepted; all others forms or postage will be refused. All inmates are granted the right to communicate or correspond with persons or organizations, subject only to the limitations necessary to maintain order and security.

All inmates are allowed to keep up to ten (10) photographs.

Written notification will be sent to the inmate when any mail is returned to sender.

Questionable contents of publications containing information or photos which could create staff or inmate safety concerns, jeopardize security or the orderly running of the facility shall be reviewed to determine the appropriateness of the publication. If it is determined that the publication shall be rejected, the item shall be returned to sender. Once a magazine publication has been deemed inappropriate, this publication shall be banned from the facility.

There is no limit to the amount of correspondence in which an inmate can send to whomever they wish, except as outlined below or when there is evidence of a threat to the safety and security of the facility.
