In light of recent cold weather and current dry conditions, Osceola County is instituting a burn ban for all types of outside burning including open fire pits, campfires and yard debris within the unincorporated areas of Osceola County.
The Osceola County Office of Emergency Management is hosting both the basic and advanced SKYWARN Spotter Training Classes on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Osceola County Emergency Operations Center. This FREE training is offered to anyone age 18 or over who is interested in becoming a certified SKYWARN spotter.
