Mission Statement

Fleet Management is a department that provides vehicle and equipment-repairs and related services to Osceola County Departments. These services include fleet acquisition and disposal, preventative maintenance, repairs, wrecker service, and motor pool. Fleet also operates and maintains the countywide vehicle refueling system utilizing biofuels to reduce emissions. Fleet Management has 10 employees within the County to best serve its customers. The County’s fleet consists of approximately one thousand pieces, ranging from small equipment such as mowers to heavy construction equipment such as excavators.

Overview

Fleet Management's goal is the establishment of efficient and effective delivery of County services by providing County departments with safe, reliable and economically sound transportation as well as relating support services to the needs of the departments, while conserving vehicle value and equipment investment. Fleet Management is committed to protecting Central Florida environment by recycling the resources used at its maintenance facility. By recovering these resources, pollution and cost are substantially reduced. Some of the recovered resources are freon, waste oil, diesel oil, scrap metal, paper, used tires, oil filters, and batteries.
