Mission Statement

The mission of the Osceola County Housing Office is to improve the quality of life for Osceola County citizens through commitment, advocacy, and ensuring the provision of adequate affordable housing for our citizens. It is our goal to empower economically disadvantaged individuals and families, particularly those with very-low to moderate incomes, so Osceola County will have strong, diverse, and viable communities.

Goals

To establish housing programs by addressing the areas of critical need while ensuring residents of Osceola County have access to safe, decent, and sanitary housing.

This is a REQUIRED class for the Down Payment Assistance program. During the class, you will learn about all aspects of getting ready to buy your first house, including money management, understanding your credit, how to find your house, choosing a home-buying professional, choosing the right mortgage, home buyer's rights and many other topics related to this process.

All Down Payment Assistance applicants and co-signers MUST attend and receive this class certificate. This class is $5.00* and is also open to those not seeking Down Payment Assistance, but would like to get educated on all aspects on how to prepare themselves to buy a house.
