The purpose of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Intake Technician at the Human Services Division is to provide extremely-low-to-low-income level residents with direct access to health and human services programs. The CDBG Entitlement was awarded to the county to provide services in the area of Economic Development, Housing, Public Service and Public Facilities and Infrastructure.
The CDBG Intake Technician is a part of the Public Service component of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The Intake Technician receives inquiries and concerns by telephone and or in person from Osceola County citizens. An “individual needs assessment” is conducted to determine availability and/or eligibility for the programs or resources available in the community. A referral is made to the provider in Human Services and /or to other agencies and organizations that offer the assistance requested.
