Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County Public Works was recently featured in an article in "Public Works Magazine" for its innovative use of the construction manager-at-risk program for the county's numerous road construction projects.

The article appeared in the national industry magazine that has a print circulation of 65,000 and a web presence that reaches the world.

"This article is really exciting for the County, because it talks a lot about the innovation and the leadership that the county has shown in putting together a road program that is forward thinking," said Osceola County Public Works Principal Project Manager Gregg Hostetler.

The article highlights the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, which can see up to 90% local participation in a given project, and emphasizes the synergy between county leaders and staff to bring the program to fruition and make it a success.

"Our goal with this program has always been to get more projects through the process in such a way that our citizens get the best service for the best price," said Chairman John Quiñones. "This article is good recognition of our efforts."
