On November 5, detectives conducted an investigation which resulted in an undercover deputy meeting with Lupo. Lupo told the undercover deputy her ex-husband was trying to take away her son and she was “hoping you can get rid of him.”She went on to say she wanted the incident to look like an accident. Lupo drove the undercover deputy to show him his residence and place of work and provided her ex-husband's work schedule and they agreed on a price.
