Osceola County, Florida - The following is an update on the new Osceola County Courthouse Parking Garage written by Manhattan Kraft Construction, Inc.
Erection of the precast concrete structure of the Garage began on Friday, December 2nd. As of this morning, the erector has set 524 pieces of precast. In total, there will be 1,164 pieces hauled from Tampa and erected; the team is working 50-60 hours per week, including Saturdays, to sustain a rate of 80-100 pieces per week and finish erection at the beginning of March.
The 3 elevator machines have been set in the top of the shaft, and the balance of the elevator equipment will arrive at the end of the month for installation. Also, we have started the exterior cast stone/masonry skin on the south elevation of the Garage, and we will start the installation of the underground fire protection line on January 20th.
Visitors to Courthouse Square and County employees should use caution and anticipate more truck traffic entering / exiting the north end of the jobsite.

About the Project
The new Osceola County Courthouse Square Parking Garage will consist of 830 parking spaces on a 1½ acre site, located directly east of the existing Osceola County Administration Building.
Heery International (Orlando, FL) designed the precast concrete structure with seven elevated parking decks above the ground level parking, with similar architectural features as the adjacent County buildings, including aluminum frames, brick and cast stone/masonry elements to blend with the rest of the campus. The Garage is also designed to accommodate 4,791 square feet of future retail space on the ground floor.
