A DRI is a development that will have an impact on the resources, facilities, and citizens of more than one county due to its size, location, or type. The criteria used to determine if a development will be categorized as a DRI have been established by the Legislature as found in Florida Statutes, Chapter 380.06. The initial review of a DRI is coordinated by the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council and includes the local jurisdiction, surrounding cities and counties, the Florida Department of Transportation, the affected Water Management District, the local School District, and a number of other pertinent agencies.
