Avon Park AFR Joint Land Use Study Community Meeting

You are invited to attend a Community Meeting, Wednesday, March 30th, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Kenansville Community Center to discuss the Avon Park Air Force Range ("The Range") Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) and its recommendations. Along with Osceola County Staff, representatives from the Range and the Central Florida Regional Council will be present to address questions.
The JLUS, which was funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, and prepared by the Central Florida Regional Planning Council, contains several recommendations intended to guide compatibility between the Range and adjacent local governments. Presently, Osceola County is evaluating the status of the JLUS, the relevance of JLUS recommendations to Osceola County, and the potential impact of following any of the JLUS recommendations.
