Avon Park AFR Joint Land Use Study Community Meeting

Property owners with land in proximity of the Avon Park Air Force Range (APAFR) have been mailed an invitation to a community meeting on October 11, 2010 to discuss the latest draft of the APAFR Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) and its impacts on your property.
During the last two years, Osceola County and its property owners, along with six other local governments, have been participating in the development of the Avon Park JLUS. Funded by the US Department of Defense, and prepared by the Central Florida Regional Planning Council, the JLUS contains several recommendations meant to guide compatibility between the APAFR and adjacent properties and jurisdictions.
