Narcoossee Community Planning Initiative

Osceola County will be undertaking a community planning effort for the Narcoossee area, generally described as extending south from the Orange County line to US 192; east from East Lake Toho to the boundary for the Northeast District, a total of approximately 16,000 acres. The planning effort will focus on defining a set of community development strategies that recognize individual property owners’ interests, changing market conditions and the County’s desire for greater economic growth. The analysis will explore changes in land use designations on specific properties and identify the public facilities and services that are fundamental to supporting a greater mix and level of development than currently shown on the County’s future land use map. Analysis of future development options and potential land use changes will allow the County to prioritize and pursue specific action items for future infrastructure needs and financing options.

The Narcoossee Community Planning Open House was held on October 23, 2010 at the Narcoossee Middle School. All residents and property owners within the identified Narcoossee Community planning area were notified and invited to attend the event. Information that was presented at the event can be downloaded using the link below.
