Osceola County, Florida – Due to ongoing construction, there will be a lane/traffic shift on Old Lake Wilson Road scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
The shift or switch of traffic to the west side roadway will require the stop signs and stop bars on the side streets to be relocated to the west approximately 50 feet. The east roadway, which is currently open for north and south-bound traffic, will be closed until all roadway work is completed on Old Lake Wilson Road. North and South bound traffic will be located on the future south-bound lanes.
Variable message boards (VMBs) will be installed on the north and south ends of the project and on all side streets seven days before the traffic switch to inform the traveling public of the new traffic pattern.
Motorists are urged to use caution when approaching this area, as workers will be present and speed limits may be reduced in certain areas. Traffic delays can be expected. Schedules could vary according to weather and equipment-related issues.
