Osceola County, FL – Osceola County Manager Don Fisher has extended an offer of employment to Orange County Corrections Major Sherry Johnson for the Osceola County Corrections Director position, and she has accepted.
Ms. Johnson will be presented for advice and consent to Commissioners on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at a special meeting to be held immediately preceding the Special Assessments Public Hearing, which is scheduled in the BCC Chambers for Tuesday night at 5:05 p.m.
Media and citizens will be invited to attend a Meet & Greet with Ms. Johnson within the next couple of weeks. Notice will be sent out in regards to time and location when they become available.
Ms. Johnson comes to Osceola County from the Orange County Corrections Department, where she has 20 years of on-the-job experience in that Corrections Department. She has the distinction of being Orange County’s first female major, and currently oversees their security operations.
