New Flood Hazard Maps Open House

Osceola County, the City of St. Cloud and the City of Kissimmee are holding an Open House in regards to the new preliminary flood hazard maps for each area.

  • Approximately 11,000 properties have been affected.
  • The new maps mark the first time in 10 years that a comprehensive re-examination has been conducted.
  • The maps are only preliminary; this open house gives residents the chance to review the changes.
  • This open house will be staffed with representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the City of St. Cloud, the City of Kissimmee and Osceola County.

Why attend the open house?

  1. Determine your current flood zone and if any change has occurred.
  2. Allow you to discuss and submit an appeals or protests, if applicable.
  3. Receive information on flood insurance.

The new Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps will be available after 08/16/11, please check back at that time.
