Public Meetings and Open Houses

The development and implementation of new FEMA Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) is a formal process with official Government Staff and General Public review process. The adoption of the new FEMA DFIRMs takes place when all of the appeals and protests have been resolved. The length of this resolution process is dependent on the number of cases and the duration and number of judicial appeals that are filed.
