Osceola News Minute - McCormick Research Institute Therapeudic Equine Center Ribbon-Cutting ceremony

Join District 5's Commissioner Fred Hawkins, Jr. at the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony at the McCormick Research Institute's new facility, which was built by Osceola County in partnership with the University of Central Florida and Heavenly Hooves to support the McCormick Research Institute's vision to grow into an expansive research and educational center.

The McCormick Research Institute will test and validate the effectiveness of equine-assisted activities and research and disseminate that information with the goal of helping veterans with both physical and mental impairments including PTSD, as well as and special needs individuals such as children to have greater awareness and access to this form of therapy.
