Community Redevelopment Areas

East U.S. 192 Community Redevelopment Area

A Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) is an area designated by the local governing body, the Board of County Commissioners in this case, as a means to ensure that the area would develop with a coherent community vision, and to encourage reinvestment throughout the CRA. As part of the Community Redevelopment Act of 1969, Chapter 163 Part III, Florida Statutes (FS), a CRA is established through a Finding of Necessity.

West U.S. 192 Community Redevelopment Area

The West U.S. 192 CRA boundary is defined as the U.S. 192 corridor that runs between the City of Kissimmee to the Osceola/Polk County line. West U.S. 192 is identified as Osceola County's tourism corridor. The corridor provides entertainment, shopping, dining and lodging for visitors to the area.
