Groundbreaking Ceremony – Sheriff’s Office Training Facility

Reporters and photo/video crews are invited to the ground-breaking of a new Sheriff’s Training Center.

Construction of a new Sheriff’s Training Center will begin on a 101-acre site in east Osceola County. The project is being built in two phases. Phase 1 has a $13.7 million budget and includes road improvements, a 300-yard shooting range, two pistol shooting ranges, a terrain shooting range, a shoot house, and areas for driver training, including a skid pad.

Directions: Turn south off of U.S. Highway 192 towards Harmony High School. When you are past the Fire Station, turn right and follow the signs to the event site.
