'Party with Santa' Lands in District 3

Osceola County, Florida – County Commissioner Brandon Arrington spread holiday cheer to hundreds of Osceola County residents in District 3 recently.
The event at Living Water Fellowship featured refreshments, music, gifts – and of course, a visit from Santa Claus.
“It has been a difficult year. First with Hurricane Irma going through our area and then knowing that many residents had family and friends affected by Hurricane Maria in the Caribbean. It was very heart-warming to be able to create an event that offered a bit of a respite and some genuine holiday cheer,” said Arrington. “The benefits were easy to observe, and the importance of hosting such a simple event is invaluable to the fabric of our community. My thanks to Pastor Terry Howell and his team for opening their doors to the public.”
Guests took advantage of refreshments and entertainment, as children received toys, including soccer balls, “boogie boards,” Barbie dolls and more.
Students from New Dimensions High School helped throughout the event, while attendees enjoyed the percussion-driven music of Pleneros and the antics of Florida Firefrogs’ mascot Stryker.

Fiesta con Santa “aterriza” en el Distrito 3
Condado de Osceola, Florida – Brandon Arrington el Comisionado del Distrito 3 recientemente repartió alegría navideña a cientos de residentes del Condado de Osceola.
El evento que fue celebrado en la Iglesia Fuente de Aguas Vivas contó con refrigerios, música, regalos y por supuesto, una visita de Santa Claus.
“Ha sido un año difícil. Primero con el huracán Irma azotando nuestra área, y luego el saber que muchos de nuestros residentes tenían familiares y amigos afectados por el paso del huracán María en el Caribe. Fue muy reconfortante el poder crear un evento que ofreciera un poco de respiro y gozo genuino,” dijo Arrington. “Los beneficios eran fáciles de observar, y el valor de ser el anfitrión de este evento para nuestra comunidad no tiene precio. Mis gracias al pastor Terry Howell y su equipo por abrir sus puertas al público.”
Los invitados aprovecharon los refrigerios y entretenimiento, mientras los niños recibían juguetes tales como bolas de sóccer, patinetas, muñecas Barbie y mucho más.
Estudiantes de la Escuela Superior New Dimensions ayudaron durante todo el evento, mientras los invitados disfrutaban de la música de pleneros y las travesuras de la mascota del equipo de los Firefrogs, Stryker.
