Master/Management Plans

The public is invited to attend four separate charettes for offering input on the analysis, design, planning and management of Shingle Creek Regional Park, Lake Runnymede, Lake Toho and Camp Lonesome Conservation Areas. The meetings are from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Osceola County Extension Services meeting room at the Osceola Heritage Park Complex at 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744.

The 43 acre Lake Runnymede Conservation Area is located on Rummell Road and the 2,436 acre Camp Lonesome Conservation Area is located off of North Canoe Creek Road. These areas were purchased for conservation and passive recreation purposes through the Osceola County Environmental Lands Program. The sites are open to the public and we are updating the planning and design phase.

Shingle Creek Regional Park is a 1,042 acre linear conservation and passive recreation corridor that is open to the public. The site is currently updating its planning, designing and management plans.

Lake Toho Conservation Area is a 12 acre conservation and passive recreation area along Lake Toho. The site is currently in the planning and design phase.

You are invited to attend and participate in the discussion, comment on preliminary conceptual plans and ask questions of County staff and representative consultants involved with developing the final plans. For more information, please contact Sandy Bean at (407) 742-8650 or sbea@osceola.org.
