District 3 Party with Santa Brings Touch of Holiday Cheer to Community

Osceola County, Florida – District 3 County Commissioner Brandon Arrington spread holiday cheer to hundreds of Osceola County residents Saturday in Poinciana.
The event at Living Water Fellowship featured refreshments, music, gifts – and of course, a visit from Santa Claus.
“It was rewarding to take a moment and create an event where our hard-working residents could take a break to relax, socialize and enjoy time with their loved ones,” said Arrington, whose district includes Poinciana. “The benefits are easy to observe, and the value of hosting even such a simple event is immense. I’d like to thank all those who supported it with time or donations, as they helped in our efforts to create great neighborhoods.”
Anita Weintle of Poinciana was impressed. “It’s very nice what they do. They’re really good with the kids and it supports the community.”
The festive gathering sparked memories for many.
“I bring the kids and we spend the day here and they like it,” Daisy Ramirez, of Poinciana, who also attended last year. “I like that they sing the old school songs, Spanish songs that I grew up with. Now my kids look up at me and say, ‘Wow mom those are the songs you sing.’’’

Condado de Osceola, Florida – Brandon Arrington el Comisionado del Distrito 3 esparció alegría navideña a cientos de residentes del Condado de Osceola el sábado en Poinciana.
El evento que fue celebrado en la Iglesia Living Water contó con música, refrigerios, regalos y por supuesto, una visita de Santa Claus.
“Fue gratificante el tomar un momento y crear un evento donde nuestros residentes que trabajan arduamente pudieran tomar un descanso para relajarse, socializar y disfrutar tiempo de calidad con sus seres queridos”, dijo Arrington, cuyo distrito incluye Poinciana. “Los beneficios son fáciles de observar, y el valor de llevar a cabo aunque sea un humilde evento es inmenso. Me gustaría agradecer a todos los que nos apoyaron con su tiempo o donaciones, mientras ayudaron con nuestros esfuerzos de crear mejores comunidades”.
Anita Weintle de Poinciana quedó impresionada. “Es muy bonito lo que hacen. Son realmente buenos con los niños y apoyan a la comunidad”.
La reunión festiva provocó recuerdos para muchos.
"Traje a los niños y pasamos el día aquí y les encanto”, Daisy Ramírez, de Poinciana, quien también asistió el año pasado. “Me gusta que cantan las canciones tradicionales navideñas que se cantaban cuando yo era niña, canciones con las que me crie. Ahora mis hijos me miran y dicen, “Wow mamí esas son las canciones que tu cantas”.
