Osceola Nurses and Medical Personnel to be Honored  with ‘Caravana’ tonight (Thursday, May 7)

WHO: A caravan or “caravana” of elected officials, law enforcement officers and firefighters will roll with lights and sirens on Thursday to honor nurses and health care workers at two local hospitals in conjunction with National Nurses Week.

WHAT: Reporters and photo/video crews are invited to join the ‘Caravana’ with stops at AdventHealth Kissimmee and Osceola Regional Hospital.

BACKGROUND: In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, vehicle caravans have become a popular way of showing support for the community and to those on the front line of the coronavirus battle. Additionally, first responders seem to enjoy the break from the serious action being taken to combat the coronavirus. In addition to the official vehicles participating, members of local Jeep clubs and roadside assistance professionals will participate.

All vehicles are welcome to join.

WHEN: 5 p.m., Thursday, May 7. 

WHERE: The Caravana will leave the parking lot at the Osceola Parkway Walmart (1471 E. Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34744) at 6 p.m.
