Current Term: 11/2022 - 11/2026

Commissioner Cheryl Grieb was elected to the Osceola County Commission in November 2014 and represents District 4.  This District incorporates parts of the cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud.

Commissioner Grieb was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey.  Her father was a police officer, and following his sudden passing from a massive heart attack, her recently widowed mother moved her and her three brothers to Florida when she was six years old.

Living in Kissimmee since second grade, Commissioner Grieb has always been involved in her community which is something her mother instilled in her from a young age.  She was one of the founding members of Habitat for Humanity of Osceola County, and served on the Osceola County Parks and Recreation Committee for 9 years when she was in her 20’s.

At age 18 Commissioner Grieb obtained her real estate license, and following in her mother’s footsteps, she purchased Pioneer Realty, her mother’s real estate company in 1991 at age 24.  By age 30, she opened her second real estate company, Olde Kissimmee Realty, which specializes in historic properties for residential and commercial use in downtown Kissimmee and St. Cloud.

In 2019 Cheryl Grieb was appointed as the Chairwoman for the Board of County Commissioners and serves on the MetroPlan Orlando Board; Central Florida Commission on Homelessness; the Toho Water Authority Board; and the Osceola Chamber.  These appointments mesh well with her passion for ensuring that Osceola grows in a way that is economically feasible and sustainable and with her career as a Real Estate Broker.

She is presently a member of the Downtown Kissimmee Area Council for the Osceola Chamber; a past member of NAR Smart Growth Advisory Board; a past member of the Nine County Coalition Board; a past member of the Water Resources Advisory Committee (WRAC); past chairperson of the Tourist Development Council; past chairperson for GOPEP; past chairperson for MetroPlan Orlando; and past chairperson of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council.

She is also past President of the Osceola County Association of REALTORS where she received the Realtor of the Year award in 2001 and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.  She is a graduate of Leadership Osceola; and at the state level, she is the past chairperson for the Smart Growth Council for the Florida Association of Realtors and has served on both the Diversity Committee and the State and Local Taxation Committees.

In 2008 she was elected to the Kissimmee City Commission and served as Vice Mayor before becoming an Osceola County Commissioner.
