Security Operations (Shift C)

Lt. Nathan Brown began his career as a Correctional Officer with the Florida State Department of Corrections in 1994 at Central Florida Reception Center (CFRC). While at CFRC for seven and a half years , he was promoted to Sergeant. As a Sergeant he was responsible for the safety and security of the East Unit compound, Department of Transportation work squads and responsible for the inmate work crews assigned in Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. In 2002, he joined the Osceola County Corrections Department as a Correctional Officer and later was promoted to the position of Corporal and Sergeant. While working with OCCD he became the Correction Response Team (CRT) lead instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor and a Florida Model Jail Inspector. He was recognized as Officer of the month, Officer of the year and Staff member of the year 2008. In October 2009, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
