Osceola County News Brief - New COVID-19 Vaccination Site in District 2

 

A free, walk-up COVID-19 vaccination site has opened at 65th Infantry Veteran's Park in Buenaventura Lakes.

No appointment is needed for this location, which will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. - or until the day’s doses are depleted. The site has a capacity of 200 doses a day, and will be run by Curative under the direction of the Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Osceola County and the Osceola County Office of Emergency Management.

Currently, Florida residents over age 50, healthcare workers with direct patient contact, and persons deemed medically vulnerable are eligible.

Beginning Monday, March 29, all Floridians age 40 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at any vaccination site. Beginning the following Monday, April 5, all Floridians age 18 and older will be eligible.
