Osceola County News Minute - Eyeglasses for Seniors Program Launch
Osceola County has launched an eyeglass prescription certificate program for Senior Citizens whose financial situations may prevent them from taking care of their vision, which is a precious personal resource that should be cared for especially as we get older. Unfortunately, many Seniors on fixed incomes struggle to purchase eyewear when it is needed.
Osceola County is offering this new program which will help low income seniors purchase a pair of prescribed glasses once every three years. This is not insurance, and seniors or their caregiver must call the Osceola County Human Services Department (407-742-8422) to request an appointment to apply for the Eyeglass Prescription Certificate Program.
Please note that the certificates are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
