Boggy Creek Study

East Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study

Osceola County has evaluated non-residential and industrial land countywide. As a result, land generally located east of Turnberry Boulevard and along Boggy Creek Road has been identified for an additional study and potential Future Land Use (FLU) Map designation changes. Osceola County staff will have community meetings to discuss the study and potential opportunities and outcomes for property owners within the study area. The study and outreach are not based on any proposed development. The purpose of the meetings is to inform property owners about recommendations of the study and receive input about what potential outcomes could mean.

Anticipated Schedule

  1. August 2023 – October 2023: Internal review with administration to refine recommendations
  2. October/November 2023: Presentation of findings and recommendations to Board of County Commissioners for further direction
    • The contact list will be notified prior to the meeting
    • Staff will move forward based on board direction
  3. January/February 2024: If applicable, direction for change provided by the board will be shared the broader community
  4. July 2024: Public hearings for transmittal to the state (as applicable)

West Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study

Due to community feedback, staff analysis, and discussion - The West Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study Area is no longer under consideration for changes.  Until further notice, no additional staff-initiated meetings, for the West Boggy Creek Rural Enclave Study Area, will take place.  Applicant-initiated requests to change Future Land Use Map designation(s) will continue to be accepted and reviewed in accordance with County policy and procedures.
