Osceola County’s Procurement Services has created a Supplier Development team. The Mission of the Osceola County Procurement Services / Supplier Development team is to develop relationships while improving business and economic opportunities for ALL vendors.
Following the guidelines from the State of Florida, we focus on:
With a view toward fostering positive working relationships between business owners and Osceola County, the Supplier Development team serves as an advocate for minority, women and service-disabled veteran business enterprises, and local Osceola County businesses in county contracting ensuring equal opportunities for all.
The Supplier Development team works hand in hand with both non-profit and business service organizations whose daily focus is the economic development of M/WBE and SDVBE companies. We act as an information resource for business owners, vendors and the public. As an education and outreach effort, the program identifies and registers certified minority, women and service-disabled veteran business enterprises, and local Osceola County businesses that wish to supply goods and services to the county. Program activities include seminars, workshops and individual consultations to explain county procurement policies.
The Supplier Development team works to ensure all county departments / divisions, as well as contractors / vendors understand and adhere to the Osceola County Administrative Code. This includes operating openly and fairly, and keeping the lines of communication open to guarantee successful completion of all county projects.
