Bellalago Educational Facilities Benefit District

Purpose

The Bellalago Educational Facilities Benefit District issued bonds to finance construction of the Bellalago Academy. Its primary function is to levy and collect special assessments from residential properties in the Bellalago development, the proceeds of which are used to pay the annual debt service on the bonds.

Appointments and Qualifications

The Board shall consist of seven (7) members. Two Supervisors are appointed by the County Commission, two Supervisors are appointed by the School Board, and three Supervisors are elected landowner representatives.

Four years

Meeting Frequency, Time and Location

Meetings are held at least two times per year, historically in May through August. Meetings are in-person with meeting date, time, and location noticed in the Orlando Sentinel. Meetings are presently held at Bellalago Charter Academy, 3651 Pleasant Hill Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34746.

Citizens are welcome to apply at any time, however applications are only considered when there is a vacancy.
