Bridge Safety Repairs
The Florida Department of Transportation inspects bridges within Osceola County every two (2) years. Using these bridge inspections in cooperation with a Bridge Master Plan, repairs are prioritized. Here is a list of projects currently underway and in development:
- Aultman - Repair plans underway.
- Canoe over Halfway Cypress - Starting repair plans.
- Celebration Place over C-2 Canal - Repair plans are complete. Project being bid.
- Crabgrass over Crabgrass Creek - Repair plans are complete. Project being bid.
- Hickory Tree over Alligator - Repair plans are complete. Requesting funding in FY25.
- Kempfer Bridge Replacement - Seeking grant funding.
- Kings Highway – Plans are being completed for repairs and guardrail replacement.
- Magnolia Court Bridge Replacement – Design is underway to replace this bridge. It is a single lane wooden bridge and is classified as scour critical. Osceola County has been awarded grant funding for Phase 1 funding (design).
- Neptune over Bass Slough - Starting repair plans.
- Nova Road over C-32 Canal – Repair plans are complete. Project being bid.
- Nova Road over Econlockhatchee River - Repair plans are complete. Project being bid.
- Nova Road over Taylor Creek - Repair plans are complete. Project being bid.
- Old Lake Wilson Road - Repair project construction started.
- Old Tampa Highway over Shingle Creek – Repair project construction started.
- Osceola Parkway Bridges – These bridges are in the tolled portion of Osceola Parkway. The bridge repair plans are underway.
