Public Meeting Notice: Master / Management Plans

Master / Management Plans

The public is invited to attend a charette for offering input on the analysis, design, planning and management of Ralph V. Chisholm Regional Park and Makinson Island Conservation Area on March 7, 2013, and for Southport Regional Park and Cherokee Point Conservation Area on March 28, 2013. The meetings are from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Osceola County Extension Services meeting room at the Osceola Heritage Park Complex at 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744.

Ralph V. Chisholm Regional Park and Markinson Island Conservation Area Meeting

The 154 acre Ralph V. Chisholm Regional Park is located off of Chisholm Park Road, Makinson Island Conservation Area is 155 acres and is located on Lake Toho.

Southport Regional Park and Cherokee Point Conservation Area

Southport Regional Park is 34 acres located Southport Road. These areas were purchased for conservation and passive recreation purposes. The sites are open to the public and we are updating the planning, designing and management plans. The 183 acre Cherokee Point Conservation Area is located on Cherokee Road. This area was purchased for conservation and passive recreation purposes through the Osceola County Environmental Lands Program.
