Commissioner Peggy Choudhry’s 3rd Annual Anti-bullying Event: Uniting Against Bullying

Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County District 1 Commissioner Peggy Choudhry is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Anti-bullying Event. In conjunction with the District 1 Student Committee and The Salvation Army, the November 4 event is a transformative gathering designed to bring the community together in the fight against bullying.

This event runs from 3- 8 p.m. at the Promenade at Sunset Walk, located at 3251 Margaritaville Boulevard, Kissimmee, 34747.

“Together, we stand against bullying. Bullying affects us all, and it's our collective responsibility to stand up against it,” said Choudhry. “I’m proud of the work of my Student Committee and our partnership with The Salvation Army that is dedicated to anti-bullying initiatives. Our annual Anti-bullying event is an opportunity for our community to unite, learn, and inspire positive change. I believe we can inspire individuals of all ages to stand up against bullying and to create a safe and compassionate community. I am deeply committed to this cause and look forward to seeing our community come together on November 4th.”

Known as “Chalk Away Hate,” the event features a schedule tailored to different age groups, providing valuable insights and resources to elementary, middle, and high school students. Participants will have an opportunity to express positive messages in chalk at the event. The Salvation Army provides daily support to struggling families and individuals in Osceola County and is proud to be a part of an event that emphasizes positivity and a stance against bullying in our schools, officials said.

Commissioner Choudhry thanked signature sponsors: Promenade at Sunset Walk, Walmart and Osceola County.

Attendees will have the chance to win outstanding prizes, including Nintendo Switches, electric scooters, laptops, cameras, apple products, and more. To ensure that everyone has a chance to participate and be present for the opportunity to win prizes, the event is divided as follows:

• Elementary School Students: 4-5:30 p.m.
• Middle School Students: 5-6:30 p.m.
• High School Students: 6-7:30 p.m.
• Parents/Adults: 8 p.m.

The event will also feature special appearances by local TikTok Artists and Instagram Stars, including TJ & Kylee, Diana Pombo (aka Lady D), Andrea Pombo, Lexi Rabe, Maddy Lee Ann, Logan Rabe, Roselie, McKenzi Brooke and Reif Harrison and other passionate advocates against bullying.

Nuestro evento anual contra el acoso escolar es una oportunidad para que nuestra comunidad se una, aprenda e inspire un cambio positivo. Conocido como “Chalk Away Hate”, el evento presenta un cronograma adaptado a diferentes grupos de edad, brindando información y recursos valiosos a estudiantes de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de expresar mensajes positivos con tiza en el evento. El Ejército de Salvación brinda apoyo diario a familias e individuos con dificultades en el condado de Osceola y está orgulloso de ser parte de un evento que enfatiza la positividad y una postura contra el acoso escolar en nuestras escuelas, dijeron los funcionarios.

La comisionada Choudhry agradeció a los patrocinadores emblemáticos: Promenade at Sunset Walk, Walmart y el condado de Osceola.
