PUBLIC COMMENT NOTICE

HUD ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW RECORD – VACANT LAND PURCHASE FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

The Osceola County Human Services Department has completed a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Environmental Review Record (ERR) for the purchase of eighty-two (82) acres of vacant land within the Poinciana Office and Industrial Park located at S Poinciana Boulevard and S Rail Avenue, Kissimmee, FL 34746, and is now seeking a Request for Release of Funds (RROF) from HUD. This vacant land will be used for the development of affordable housing. As required by Federal regulation 24 CFR Part 58, Osceola County has completed the required consultation and developed the ERR which has determined that no finding of significant impact exists on the project site.

Osceola County is now seeking public review and comment and/or objection to the proposed project. The public comment period begins August 27, 2020 and ends Friday, September 11, 2020. Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR). The ERR will be made available to the public for review either electronically or by U.S. mail. Objections must be prepared and submitted via e-mail in accordance with the required procedures (24 CFR Part 58, Sec. 58.76) and shall be addressed to the Jacksonville Field Office to the Attention of: Lisa A. Hill, CPD Director at cpd_COVID-19OEE-JAX@hud.gov.
