Commissioner District 5
Commissioner Booth is a 6th generation resident of Osceola County. He was elected in November of 2020 to represent District 5 which includes most of St. Cloud, Narcoossee, Harmony, Holopaw, and Kenansville.
Mr. Booth graduated from St. Cloud High in 1996 and continued his education at the University of Florida, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in 2001. Ricky and his wife Erika, of Kissimmee, married in 2002 and have 3 children, Nellie, Natalie, and Thomas. Mrs. Booth is a media specialist for the School District of Osceola County.
Commissioner Booth’s roots run deep in Osceola. He is a member of one of our county’s pioneer families and continues a cattle ranching tradition that spans more than a century. Ricky calls the Doc Partin Ranch home and works together with his family to operate the business. He is also the founder and manager of the Booth Cattle Company and continues to lead its expansion. Mr. Booth has served as president and director of the Osceola County Cattlemen’s Association and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Osceola County Farm Bureau, Florida Brahman Association (past president), and the American Brahman Breeders Association.
In 2014 Mr. Booth was elected to the Osceola County School Board as the District 5 representative and was reelected to a second term in 2018. He was appointed Chairman in 2018 after serving as Vice Chairman in 2016 and 2017.
He has served on the Board of Directors for Silver Spurs Rodeo (Big Boss 2011-12), Education Foundation of Osceola, and the Four Corners Charter School. He currently serves on the Board of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Hospital. In 2018 Mr. Booth was the recipient of the Osceola Boy Scouts Golden Eagle Award for leadership and community service.Contact Ricky Booth
