Sinclair Road Extension Project
The Board of Osceola County Commissioners will consider this project on February 20, 2023.
Project Details
Osceola County is working with the Reunion development to extend Sinclair Road approximately 1.5- miles from Traditions Boulevard to Bella Cita Boulevard. The project contemplates construction of a two-lane, undivided urban roadway that will be designed for future expansion to four lanes. This project began in September 2021 with the launch of a Project Development & Environment (PD&E) study. A PD&E study involves a range of engineering assessments, environmental analysis and public involvement with the goal of developing transportation solutions, known as alternatives, that meet the project need while minimizing impacts to the surrounding environment. That study is expected to take about one year to complete, and will culminate in a recommended alignment for the project. That will be followed by about 18 months of design and, ultimately, construction of the roadway. If additional right-of-way acquisition is needed to build the road, it will begin when the design is about 60% complete. Please check the website frequently for updates.
