Jack Brack Road Widening
Project Details
The purpose of this project is to improve the roadway and enhance safety along Jack Brack Road from Narcoossee Road to Absher Road, approximately 2.6 miles. The proposed improvements will widen and reconstruct the roadway into a two-lane divided urban roadway with a raised median and closed drainage system. To enhance safety for all users, the corridor’s speed limit will be lowered to 35 mph. Seven-foot buffered bike lanes will be provided for cyclists. Additionally, a 6-foot sidewalk will be provided on the north, and a 10-foot shared use path on the south. Additional improvements include the construction of stormwater ponds, a signalized intersection at Zuni Road, and the addition of street lighting. A signal is currently under construction at the intersection with Narcoossee Road under a separate project, and modifications to the existing signal may be needed.
