COVID-19 CUSTOMER CARE, MODIFIED SERVICES

The Osceola County Building Office is committed to providing support and the best customer service during these challenging times. Our offices our currently closed to the public in order to reduce the potential spread of Coronavirus. Though we enjoy working with you in person for now we ask that you conduct permitting online at permits.osceola.org or email applications and documents to permitting@osceola.org. If there is a need to deliver hard-copy documents (plans, benchmarks, elevation certificates, checks, etc...) to the Community Development Department, there is a drop box available at the entrance of the Administration Building.

LICENSED CONTRACTORS

Licensed Contractors are exempt from the Stay at Home Executive order. Here are the services being provided at this time:

• On-line permit applications and on-line inspection request.
• Plans review is ongoing without any changes (submission via online or dropbox at Administration Building)
• Inspectors are working from the field and using our "Inspector App"
• In home inspections are now completed by a "live video" through Microsoft Teams 

PUBLIC HEARINGS - PLANNING COMMISSION & BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

To provide public comment on an item that is on the Agenda, please go to the County Meetings page to pre-register.

The County is also exploring the use of virtual technology for these public hearings to provide enhanced safety while allowing public access.  All Agendas and schedules can be found on the County Meeting page.

FOLLOWING THE GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SAFETY

As potential exposure to the Coronavirus ramps up in Florida, the Community Development Department has issued a Policy Determination for our Inspectors and Customers to follow so we can remain consistent with the General Guidelines established by the President.  Generally, the Policy focuses on communication and the need for social distancing for the times the Inspectors are on the property. Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep our County healthy. Although we have modified some of our services,  Community Development will remain open to support our Citizens and Contractors through these challenging times. COVID-19 ATENCION AL CLIENTE, SERVICIOS MODIFICADOS

La Oficina de Construcción del Condado de Osceola se compromete a proveer apoyo y el mejor servicio al cliente durante estos tiempos de dificultad. Nuestras oficinas están actualmente cerradas al público para reducir la posible propagación del Coronavirus. Aunque nos gusta trabajar contigo en persona, por ahora le pedimos que utilice permisos por línea a través de permits.osceola.org o envié sus aplicaciones y documentos al correo electrónico a permitting@osceola.org. Si hay necesidad de entregar documentos físicos como planos, referencias, certificados de elevación, cheques, etc.  a nuestro Departamento de Desarrollo a la Comunidad, hay una caja depositante disponible a la entrada del edificio Administrativo.

CONTRATISTAS CON LICENCIA

Contratistas con licencia están exentos de la orden Ejecutiva de “Quedarse en su Casa”. Aquí están los servicios que se proveerán durante este tiempo:

• Aplicaciones para permisos y Solicitud de Inspecciones por línea
• Revisión de Planos sigue sin cambios en el proceso normal (puede someter por línea o caja depositante en el edificio Administrativo)
• Nuestros Inspectores están trabajando remotamente y utilizando nuestra aplicación digital para llevar a cabo las Inspecciones pautadas
• Inspecciones adentro de las casas ahora serán a través de una llamada por video

SIGUIENDO LAS GUIAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD

A medida que aumenta la exposición potencial al Coronavirus en Florida, el Departamento de Desarrollo a la Comunidad ha emitido una póliza para que nuestros inspectores y clientes puedan seguir, y así mantener consistencia con las guías generales establecidas por el Presidente de los E.U. Por lo general, esta póliza se enfoca en la comunicación y la necesidad de distanciamiento social durante las horas en que un inspector está en una propiedad.  Dicha póliza se puede encontrar aquí:
