The Office of Emergency Management coordinates disaster planning, response, and recovery to ensure Osceola County is prepared for hazards that may affect the community.
We lead emergency readiness through
- Alert Osceola notification system for emergency situations like boil water notices, severe weather, and public safety alerts
- Community engagement and training in basic first-aid skills
- Volunteer coordination both before and after disasters
- The Special Needs Program, which provides transportation and shelter for residents with medical, mobility, or functional needs during emergencies
- Administration of several Emergency Response Plans, including the CEMP, Local Mitigation Strategy, and Health Care Facility CEMP
