Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget Information

For the 15th year in a row, Osceola County will hold the general fund millage rate steady for FY26. The overall proposed tax rate remains unchanged from last year at 8.0682 mills, covering the general fund, EMS, and library. In addition, the Board approved a dedicated millage rate of 0.2500 for the SAVE Osceola maintenance and acquisition program, ensuring the continuation of this voter-approved initiative. Even without an increase in the general fund millage, the Adopted Budget provides the funding needed to continue delivering high-quality services to residents and visitors, with a strong emphasis on transportation, housing, and public safety.

New and existing property valuations for FY2026 led to an increase of 9.9% compared to the prior year—an overall increase over historical trends. This growth helps support the County’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance essential services while investing in infrastructure. Key priorities include expanding the road network and strengthening public safety.

The Adopted Budget reflects a careful balance between available resources and the demands of core local government functions. It prioritizes mandated services while also investing in areas that support community growth, improve quality of life, and position Osceola County for a stronger future.
