MetroPlan Orlando Community Advisory Committee
Purpose
The Community Advisory Committee ensures the public has the opportunity to review and evaluate all proposed transportation plans and programs. About half the Community Advisory Committee members are appointed by local governments, and the other half by the MetroPlan Orlando Board. The committee membership includes multimodal transportation advocates, as well as representatives from under-served communities and business interests. This composition encourages diversity of many kinds, including geographic, demographic and modal.
Appointments and Qualifications
The Committee has three (3) members from Osceola County appointed by the County Commission. About half the committee members are appointed by local governments, and the other half by the MetroPlan Orlando Board. The Committee membership includes multimodal transportation advocates, as well as representatives from under-served communities and business interests. This composition encourages diversity of many kinds, including geographic, demographic and modal.
Term Limits
Terms are four years.
Meeting Frequency, Time and Location
Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month (generally) at 9:30 a.m. at the MetroPlan Orlando office. 250 S. Orange Ave., Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32801.
Citizens are welcome to apply at any time, however applications are only considered when there is a vacancy.
