Alternatives Public Meeting Planned for Canoe Creek Road Project
The meeting will be offered in-person, online, and by phone
Osceola County will hold an Alternatives Public Meeting regarding the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for Canoe Creek Road from the future Southport Connector Expressway to Deer Run Road in Osceola County, Florida, virtually on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, and in-person on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
The Alternatives Public Meeting is being held to give persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. The proposed improvements include a 4.4-mile-long, four-lane divided roadway to help accommodate future traffic demands, as well as multimodal accommodations, as determined in the alternative study.
Osceola County is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the meeting. All participants, regardless of which platform they choose, will receive the same information.
- Virtual (Online) Option: Interested persons may join the Virtual Alternatives Public Meeting from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. - Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may join the Virtual Alternatives Public Meeting in listen-only mode by dialing 866-901-6455 and entering the passcode 378-067-040 when prompted. - In-Person Option: Participants may attend in person at the St. Cloud Community Center, Magnolia Room, 3101 17th Street, St. Cloud, FL 34769. The in-person meeting will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in an open house format.
All meeting materials, including the presentation, will be available on the Project website at one.osceola.org/canoecreekroad-southportconnector-deerrunroad prior to the meeting.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this Project are being, or have been, carried-out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 United States Code (USC) Section 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT. This planning product may be adopted into the environmental review process, pursuant to Title 23 USC § 168(4)(d), or the state project development process.
