Temporary Relocation of Partin Triangle Park Entrance

As soon as Thursday, August 14, the entrance to Partin Triangle Park will be temporarily relocated approximately 500 feet west of its current location. The temporary driveway will be built to accommodate cars, trucks, and vehicles towing trailers entering and exiting the park.

The driveway relocation is necessary so crews can perform a “surcharge” at the current entrance. A surcharge involves placing extra soil or weight on the ground to help compress and stabilize the soil underneath. This process ensures the area is strong enough to support the future permanent roadway without settling or shifting over time.

Construction of the permanent access driveway will begin soon after the surcharge is removed, with completion expected by late 2025 or early 2026. Please note that weather or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the schedule.

Motorists and pedestrians should use caution near the work zone as workers and construction equipment may be present. Areas closest to the work site may experience some noise during the initial set-up and final removal of the surcharge.
