Cyrils Drive Traffic Shift
Scheduled for Wednesday, November 12

Starting Tuesday night, November 11, crew will begin preparing to move Cyrils Drive traffic to the outside lanes. The shift is expected to take effect by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12. After the shift, westbound vehicles will use the new outside lane on the north side of the median, while eastbound traffic will remain on the outside lane south of the median.

This configuration will allow crews to connect the new lanes to the existing roadway and remove old asphalt. Crews will also build short pavement sections to guide traffic smoothly through the median area, add landscaping, and apply the final friction layer of asphalt later in the project, followed by permanent thermoplastic striping. The multi-use trail and sidewalk will remain closed during construction.

Please note once the shift is in place, cross traffic on Cyrils Drive will no longer stop at Absher Road.

Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen conditions. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution; workers and equipment will be present, and noise, dust, and vibration are possible near active work zones. Additional traffic shifts will be necessary as construction progresses.
